Lucy balldress-Final product

So... after saying that i have heaps of time, I ended up making this dress within the last 2 week. ek. Sorry Lucy.

I made a mock up of the dress (shown below left) so that we could play with the ribbon design, and make sure we were on the same page :)

As you can see in the Final Design (below Right) Lucy decided on a shimmery olive green/gold.
To contrast the fabric, we got fabric in the colour of the dark Green created in the shodow of the fabric and put it as the backing of the ribbons to create more depth.

The Finished product looked really good and was a blast to make. Lucy really suited the style and the colour looked amazing against her skin.

Lucy Ball Dress

Lucy sent me this image as the idea for her ball gown.
She was orginally thinking a dark cream or ivory colour. I would love to see this dress in a midnight blue, and pale yellow or even a violet. It lends itself to a lot of colours.
But I have advised to see what lace is available and see what colours they come in is probably the best bet.

The ball is on the 31st of july. so we have around 9 weeks to make it.
